"Joy, color, healing, and playfulness are some of the words that inspire my work. For the last two years, I have been battling leukemia, healing from a bone marrow transplant and riding the ups and downs of many side effects from the treatments. Painting has been my best medicine. When I paint, I forget about everything else. I strive to bring an element of joy into all of my paintings. When I’m too tired to stand at the easel, I like to “paint” on my iPad. This series is both oil paint and digital."
