Showing Your Art
at Art & Lit's Gallery
If you think you might like to have a show at Art & Lit, the first step is to send an email to BayViewArtLit@gmail.com telling us who you are and what kind of art you think you might like to show. We'll take a look at your ideas and the calendar and see whether we both think it would work.
To get an idea of what we've done so far, you can check out previous shows on this site's "Exhibits" page, or on our Facebook page.
If you would like to be on our list to fill in for an artist who might have to cancel at the last minute, please let me know. We could prepare your exhibit and have it ready "just in case."

Setting Up:
Exhibits are typically changed Friday nights or Saturday mornings. Images are attached to walls with museum mounting putty. If you're in town, you're welcome to help with installation.
Audience:
Choose your own miniature audience from our selection of various humans and/or animals (ducks, geese, chickens) or gallery can choose the audience and change it periodically.
Publicity:
Our street gets a lot of walking traffic due to the nearby Rose Garden and Codornices Park, so it's not unusual for about 200 people to look into the gallery each week (depending on the season and the weather). Once your show is up, we'll announce it on our Facebook page and include photos of the prepared exhibit. We can also include any links to other locations you like, such as Instagram, Etsy, or your website. Gallery has room for a QR code to be displayed in the library window, if you like.
Once the show has been in the gallery for about a week, we'll add your exhibit images to our website.
