Zara Drapkin
"Authentic Humanity"
June 11 - July 1, 2022

Zara Drapkin is an artist, art therapist and social worker who has always had a deep love for photography. In fact, her love for photography, and her recognition of the powerful ways it offers a unique ability to engage with her own inner world, inspired her to create an entire career around it. Zara became enthralled with the process of shooting and developing film in high school and began her path to becoming an art therapist as soon as she entered college. This collection of her photos stems from some of her earlier work as she explored what it means and looks like to show up authentically, without the filters or expectations of how to be, and instead to be witnessed as one is.

Zara continues to enjoy shooting film, capturing intimate moments among people as well as metaphors within nature around being, surviving and thriving.
